Balz Gross

Balz Gross is the Head of Homburger’s Litigation / Arbitration and of the Employment and Executive Compensation team. He has extensive experience regarding all aspects of international arbitration (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, Swiss Rules, ad hoc, etc.) and complex litigation before Swiss state courts and authorities, including criminal proceedings and employment (compensation) related disputes.

He has acted as party counsel in more than one hundred international arbitrations, in particular in proceedings relating to mergers and acquisitions, long-term supply contracts, distribution contracts and joint ventures. Balz Gross also acts as co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in numerous international arbitrations.

Balz Gross has acted as counsel in numerous large, mostly international proceedings before the state courts in all Swiss cantons, in particular the Commercial Courts and the High and Supreme Courts, and represents foreign and Swiss clients in proceedings involving criminal law issues. In addition, Balz Gross acts as counsel in employment litigation, with a particular focus on management compensation and employee incentive schemes.
