Homburger advises Kandou AI on its USD 225 m strategic funding round

On March 23, 2026, Swiss-based Kandou AI, a leader in high-speed, energy-efficient connectivity and system solutions for the AI era, announced the successful closing of its USD 225 m strategic funding round with backing from strong financial and strategic investors. The oversubscribed Series-A round was led by Maverick Silicon with strategic participation from SoftBank Group Corp., Synopsys, Inc., Cadence Design Systems, Inc. and Alchip Technologies Limited; several existing investors also participated in the financing round.

Homburger advises ABB on the carve-out and sale of its robotics division to SoftBank

On October 8, 2025, ABB Ltd announced it has signed an agreement to divest its robotics division to SoftBank Group Corp. for an enterprise value of USD 5.375 bn. ABB’s robotics business is one of the world’s leading robotics suppliers with a global customer base and approximately 7,000 employees. The sale is subject to a carve-out through a multi-jurisdictional reorganization which will conclude prior to closing. Completion is also subject to the receipt of customary regulatory clearances.
Homburger acts as Swiss counsel to ABB.
