René Bösch to lead the GesKR conferences on FinSA and FinIA rules on November 01 and December 02, 2016

In view of the importance of the proposed new Financial Services Act (FinSA) and Financial Institutions Act (FinIA), GesKR (Zeitschrift für Gesellschafts- und Kapitalmarktrecht) offers two conferences on the subject on November 1, 2016 and December 2, 2016. Homburger partner Dr. iur. René Bösch will lead the conference together with Dr. iur. Patrick Schleiffer, partner at Lenz & Staehelin.

While the first conference in November will focus on the new prospectus regime set out in the FinSA, the second conference in December 2016 will be dedicated to the discussion of the rules for provision of financial services in the FinSA and the new regulation of asset managers as proposed in the draft FinIA.

On November 4, 2015, the Swiss Federal Council released drafts of the Financial Services Act and the Financial Institutions Act. Together with the Financial Market Supervisory Act (FMSA) and the Financial Market Infrastructure Act (FMISA), the two planned new acts will build the four pilar fundament of the future Swiss financial market law infrastructure. Both legislative projects are expected to be discussed by the Council of States before the end of the year.
