On December 18, 2024, Novo Nordisk announced that it has successfully completed its USD 11 bn acquisition of three manufacturing sites from Novo Holdings A/S. The completion follows the finalization of Novo Holdings&#8216; acquisition of Catalent, Inc., a global contract development and manufacturing organization. The three acquired sites are specialized in the sterile filling of drugs and are located in Anagni (Italy), Brussels (Belgium) and Bloomington IN (USA).
Novo Nordisk is a leading global healthcare company headquartered in Denmark. Its purpose is to drive change to defeat serious chronic diseases, built upon its heritage in diabetes.
Catalent is a global contract development and manufacturing organization headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey. The company has over 50 global sites and employs more than 18,000 people.

Twelve Capital and Securis Investment Partners, two independent asset management specialists in Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS), have entered into an agreement to create a leader in ILS, with both sets of shareholders remaining fully invested. This will create a leading founder-led business and one of the largest, most experienced ILS managers globally with more than USD 7.8 bn in assets under management.

Crown

On August 3, 2023, Crown Holdings, Inc., a leading global supplier of rigid packaging products to consumer marketing companies, as well as transit and protective packaging products, announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Helvetia Packaging AG, a Swiss supplier of sustainable aluminum beverage packaging with a manufacturing facility in Saarlouis, Germany. The transaction is subject to approval by German anti-trust authorities and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
Homburger AG has acted as Swiss counsel to Crown Packaging European Division GmbH on this transaction. The Homburger team was led by Daniel Hasler (Corporate / M&amp;A) and included Francesco Bernasconi (Corporate / M&amp;A), Bianca Nedwed (Corporate / M&amp;A) as well as Florian Bruggisser (Corporate / M&amp;A).
