Homburger partners Gregor Bühler and Benedikt Maurenbrecher appointed Co-Chairs of the International Bar Association's (IBA) Committees

Gregor Bühler has been appointed to serve as the next Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). The scope of the committee’s work extends to all areas of IP law, including related areas such as privacy, media and sports law. More than 1,000 lawyers from a broad range of countries are members of this committee.Gregor Bühler has been a partner at Homburger since 2003 and is Deputy Head of the IP / IT and Litigation practice teams. He has extensive experience in IP law, including both transactional matters and disputes.Benedikt Maurenbrecher has been appointed to serve as the next Co-Chair of the Banking Law Committee (BLC) of the IBA. The BLC provides a worldwide forum for banking lawyers and other legal professionals within the banking community to address all sorts of practical and legal issues arising in commercial and regulatory activities in this context. The committee has held one of the IBA’s most popular and well-established events, the International Financial Law Conference, every year since 1984.Benedikt Maurenbrecher has been a partner at Homburger since 2002 and Head of the Financial Services practice team since 2015. He has extensive transactional and regulatory experience in banking, finance and capital markets. He regularly represents market participants in regulatory proceedings and civil litigation.Both partners will lead the committees as their Co-Chairs for a two-year term commencing in January 2020.
