New Counsel at Homburger: Prof. Dr. Hans-Ueli Vogt

The partners of Homburger are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Hans-Ueli Vogt LL.M. has joined the firm as a Counsel.

Hans-Ueli Vogt studied law at the University of Zurich and gained an LL.M. as a “Hauser Global Scholar” at New York University School of Law. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2001 based on his award-winning thesis in the area of commercial law. He also was a “Jean Monnet Research Fellow” at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, as well as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School, where he did research in the areas of US and European corporation law. In addition, Hans-Ueli Vogt earned an executive MBA degree from the University of St. Gallen in 2008.

Hans-Ueli Vogt was an assistant professor since 2003 and has been tenured since 2007. He teaches corporation as well as intellectual property law. He is a co-editor of a Swiss law journal in the field of corporate and securities law and a member of the board of INGRES, an academic and professional association in the area of intellectual property law.

Hans-Ueli Vogt practiced law at two leading Swiss law firms upon completion of his studies. He also worked as an associate in the litigation department of a major New York law firm. He is admitted both to the Bar of Zurich and New York.

Hans-Ueli Vogt will consult on matters of corporate and securities law with the members of our Corporate/M&A Group and their clients. He will also assist other practice groups of our firm and contribute both his academic and professional insights and experience.
