Homburger represents UBS in COMCO investigation regarding Apple Pay boycott

On November 13, 2018, the Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO) opened a high-profile investigation into an alleged boycott by several Swiss financial institutions of certain international mobile payment solutions, including Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. With the launch of the investigation, COMCO conducted dawn raids at the premises of the financial institutions. COMCO suspects that the financial institutions may have agreed on a boycott in order to favor Twint, a Swiss mobile payment solution.
