
Homburger partner Georg Rauber new Chairman of the Swiss Bar Association SAV
At the delegates‘ meeting of June 20, 2025, the members of the Swiss Bar Association (SAV) elected Georg Rauber as the successor to the previous Chairman, Matthias Miescher. After Eric Homburger, he is the second lawyer from the Homburger law firm to hold the office of the SAV Chair.
Dr. iur. Georg Rauber has been a partner at Homburger since 1996 and headed the IP / IT practice team during more than 15 years. He has extensive and long-standing experience in all areas of the IP / IT practice team. He focuses on supporting transactions and represents clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings relating to the enforcement and licensing of IP rights, in particular software and copyrights, in IT projects and outsourcing as well as in the marketing of rights in sport events. From 2011 to 2012 he presided over the Zurich Bar Association (ZAV). Since 2016 he has been member of the Supervisory Board of the Zurich Bar, and since 2019 he is a member of the Board of the Swiss Bar, which he will now chair from 2025 to 2027.
