Homburger advised UBS AG on its inaugural issuance of digital bonds, consisting of a CHF 375 m bond issued under standalone documentation

On November 14, 2022, UBS AG, acting through its London branch, successfully completed its inaugural issuance of digital bonds, consisting of CHF 375 m 2.330 per cent. Notes due November 2025. The bonds are digital only and issued on the blockchain-based platform of SIX Digital Exchange (SDX) while being dual listed and traded on SDX and SIX Swiss Exchange. This setup enables investors to invest in a digital bond irrespective of whether they have the blockchain infrastructure available.
